I’m about to get more Javascript experience than I ever wanted. For work, I have to create a detailed quiz that will calculate someone’s risk of heart disease based on a number of inputs (total cholesterol, age, etc). I know the learning experience will be good, but Javascript irritates the hell out of me. :-P

Also: I hate the phrase “learning experience.” Some other phrases I hate: “state of the art”, “hands-on”, “as it were”, “if you will”, “per se.”

    How about ‘basically’?

OMG! Thank you! That’s another one that grates on my nerves! (Chris and I were talking about overuse of “basically” just the other day, actually.)

Basically, if you will, this state of the art, hands-on “blog,” as it were, is a good learning experience and very fun to comment on, per se.

Actually, I use “basically” a lot at work. (I also use “actually” a lot too).

“Basically what’s happening is you are an idiot, sir.”

Ooh! I have to create a little wizard that asks a few questions and suggests a Massage Table for people. Maybe we can put our heads together, since mine will be in JS as well.

It suggests a massage table?? HAHAHAHA!!! :-D

…sorry. I’m a little wired today. Yeah, feel free to email me or whatever. Also, I’ll be sure to write another argumentative post that goes against your libertarian sentiments, very soon I promise. ;-)

Well, it is my employer asking me to do it…

:) I firmly believe it’s much better to have a job people laugh at than none at all…

Hey, I believe that too! I mean, I just spent most of yesterday working on a quiz about vaginal dryness!
