Well, I finally finished reading Good In Bed
. It was excellent. It even made me cry. I highly recommend it to everyone. (I also went to Borders tonight and bought the author’s latest book, In Her Shoes, as well as a few other things… another bookstore binge!) At the end of the book there’s an interview with the author. One thing I was pleased to read in the interview is that she was listening to Liz Phair almost constantly. Also, the interview has given me my latest favorite quote/mantra/point of inspiration: when asked to describe who she thinks the readers of the book are, she answers that they are “smart, a little cynical, fed up with a culture that tells them they’re not good enough, and willing to open their hearts to the possibilities of love — even if only in fiction.”
