I can’t log in to my speedpost email account, again. This is the second time this has happened in the past ~3 weeks… this time apparently it’s some kind of IMAP error; last time my account had been mysteriously “suspended” by accident (an automated check via their support site restored everything). This is annoying, as I am expecting a few fairly important emails. I’ve been using speedpost for a while and all the important people (ie, my friends) have that address… but I think it might be time to seriously consider switching to gmail. (Hey, all the cool kids are doing it!)

My @garrettvonk.com email gets forwarded to my Gmail account at the server level, so if there’s ever a problem getting into my IMAP, I can just hit Gmail. You might want to try that. Need a Gmail invite?
Once you go gmail, you never go back. Threaded emails are the best shit ever.
I’m using Gmail with OS X’s Mail and it’s working great. Gmail is fast, too.
Actually, Garrett, I have a gmail account, I just never use it. Perhaps I shall start The Great Migration.
I have taken the first step! I sent out a “change of address” email to everybody in my address book. And I set up gmail in Mail.app. We’ll see how much I like it.
