Your opinions, please: What if I got my hair cut so short as to be basically buzzed? And what if, along with this, I left some bangs or whatever in the front? (Except that I really don’t have long enough bangs for it to look decent…) I fucking hate dealing with hair.

Yes. Shaved w/bangs = chelsea. You’ll need to get some 8 or 10-hole oxblood steel-toes and a flight jacket to go with your new ‘do.
I think that might be a little extreme? But if you want to, by all means, proceed. I’m sure that your stylist (a stylist? I have one if you dont have a usual person) could whip up something low maintenance. Your hair is pretty short as-is.
I had my hair almost like that for a while in high school and college. It wasn’t buzzed. But it was really short with long bangs. I liked it at the time, but then at a certain point I got fed up with the bangs. They kept getting in my face.

Nikki, I do have a stylist… previously it was a fabulous 40-something gay man, but now it’s that girl I went to high school with. I guess I feel obligated to go to her now. She made me nervous that first time but I think I’m over it now.

As a threadjack, what’s up with the gratuitous use of Tinyurl? Every time I see a Tinyurl link, a little part of me dies, because I’d LOVE to know where I’m actually going before I click it. It’s kind of a web standard that you get this little status bar that actually tells you where you are going when you click a link, and it’s a standard I happen to like.
I’m not taking out all this anger on you, Patrick, I just see it so often nowadays and I don’t know if I’m being redirected to CNN.com or allthechildpornyoucanhandle.com… (Which is obviously a key issue, especially at work)

Nikki - sure, gimme her name. I’m already going to see the girl from high school this Saturday, but one day I might have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and feel like gettin’ my hair did.
You should not go to a stylist just because you feel obligated or whatever. This is your hair we’re talking about. She fucks up and EVERYONE will know.

Eh, I probably won’t do it. I think I could pull it off - and if not, it’ll grow out soon enough - but it’s just, I worry that my head may be misshapen. No, don’t laugh - or do, whatever… I think the back of my head is kind of flatter than the rest. Cari says everyone’s head is like that. I’m not so sure.
In boot camp everybody had a slightly differently shaped head. Just hope that you aren’t the person people call ET behind your ET head. Luckily I have quite a nicely shaped head, even if it is awkwardly small.
i am all for buzzing, but i wouldnt do bans then. but how about buzz and add a color? maybe to match your glasses…so they are emphazed even more!!!
p.s. i agree that everyones head is like that…flat on back…mine feels the same and if others agree, then that must be it! makes me feel better anyway! ;)
my sister plans to shave her head once she moves back to the states and onto a pig commune (i wonder if thats how you spell that?)
FYI - Garrett, regarding your question from last night about the comments form and the long URL… I went into the database and didn’t see any long URLs in your comments. In Rusty’s comment from 7/6/2005 4:05:51 PM, there is a long URL in the ‘www’ field (which is for the link to one’s web site) - and yes, it causes the comment form to expand way past its container, so I’m not going to paste it in here. It’s really long though. Both ‘comment’ and ‘www’ are type
text(which can hold a lot).Okay, I’m totally late on this, but i think your hair is really cute the style it is. It suits your face.
