Health Update

I’m finished with the Cipro and the orange pee medicine, but I don’t think they did much good. The back pain has returned (though it’s not as bad as before), and I’m still peeing all the time (not literally). So I guess a trip to the doctor is in order - and a fun game of, “To what extent will my insurance try to weasel out of covering this?”

Given your place of employment, the idea that you have less-than-stellar insurance is a dose of very black humor.

Yet another update: went to the doctor, and was there for almost an hour and a half (and there was also travel time on MARTA). That’s how long it apparently took them to tell me, “There’s nothing wrong with you, take ibuprofen with every meal until Friday, call us if anything changes.” My urine sample was fine - they think it’s just muscle pain. :P

Well, I’m glad there’s nothing wrong… It always sucks to wait that long only to hear that. It made me especially mad back when I had to pay a copay just to hear “Take some Advil” in return for my $30…

I’ve got an appointment for Thursday morning in case my eye doesn’t get better by then. I think I might have pinkeye

Gee… maybe they should have had you come in for that instead of getting you all doped up on Cipro and “orange pee medicine.”

how do you offer different skins, amber?

and what service do you use?

What service do I use? Ha! You should know by now, lefty… I rolled my own!

Sorry. I never get tired of claimin’ the geek street cred. :)

However, to be fair - I stole the JS to switch stylesheets from A List Apart, as mentioned in this post. I know the code is not ideal - if you have a cookie set to not use the default stylesheet, it starts loading that stylesheet anyway - but hey, I didn’t have time to write my own. Maybe eventually I will - but I was happy to find something I could drop in for the time being.

As an aside, I really think OS X’s built-in spellcheck should know the word “stylesheet.”
