I’m feeling too tired and lazy to attack any of the items in my proverbial “shit to blog about” file. And, on Twitter, Melissa Gira said (wrt the prostitution issue), “legalization or decriminalization?” and I realized I don’t have a good grasp on what the difference is. I’m vaguely aware of a difference, and I know I’ve seen people talk about it here and there, but I’d rather not talk out of my ass, so I think I should do more reading before I tackle that idea.
Anyway, here are some photos from last weekend’s Inman Park Festival. You can see my entire photoset here, and Rusty’s here. We also did a podcast.
Finally, if you have ideas for a conference venue (or anything else conference related), please speak up!

Legalisation means that it is a categorically permissible act. Decriminalisation, on the other hand, essentially means, to one extent or another, that it is a citation-worthy offense, but not the sort of transgression for which one can be prosecuted, imprisoned, etc.
Decriminalised prostitution citations would essentially resemble a traffic violation, or a smoking ordinance violation, or something else of that nature. Statutorily prohibited, but not a high-calibre offense.
