I knew my dad had managed night clubs in Augusta, and my mom worked as a bartender (that's how they met) until I was 6 or 7; sometimes my mom would tell stories of people she met or things that happened at the bars where she worked. But in terms of any of it contributing to me being an "open" person? Nope. When I was growing up my parents were almost totally silent on the subject of anything sex-related, other than a very few comments and incidents which made it clear that all that stuff was Very Bad Indeed (for me, anyway).
