Amber I plan on it, in fact over the next several weeks I hope to be more involved(please, please). In fact, I have an idea that I will go through googlegroup if you want, but I would love to do something on body acceptance, ways... means... psychology... personhood...ownerships through movement... everything beside dieting, unworthiness, or conventional standards that dictate outside of one's self and identity.(my apologies if this has already been suggested)

Thanks, Amber. Appreciate your time.

I used to have some pics of the clubs on Broad St. from the early 80s. I looked for them recently but was unable to locate them. I scanned a bunch of old damaged pics to computer a number of years ago and they may have been on some CDs that went bad on me.

I actually didn't know about the Midas Lounge until a few years ago. I knew my dad had managed night clubs in Augusta, and my mom worked as a bartender (that's how they met) until I was 6 or 7; sometimes my mom would tell stories of people she met or things that happened at the bars where she worked. But in terms of any of it contributing to me being an "open" person? Nope. When I was growing up my parents were almost totally silent on the subject of anything sex-related, other than a very few comments and incidents which made it clear that all that stuff was Very Bad Indeed (for me, anyway).

Hi, Amber. You may recall me from Flickr and my familiarity with some of the old lounges/clubs via the band world or having lived nearby them. There may be no relevance/relationship at all but I was wondering if your father's work in the lounge world (for instance, the Midas Lounge) had anything to do with influencing your views, and if so how this might be. I'm not assuming that there is a relationship, but I would imagine you grew up with a fair number of stories. You seem like an open enough person that I thought I'd just try posing the question.
