Oh well… I would write more but I’m worried a bunch of assholes are going to swoop in and tell me to stop being so selfish, don’t I know there are people starving in [exotic location]?

Oh, good god. The people. The starving. The drama.

Your life and your blog are about YOU. Those seeking starving drama can go elsewhere. If the assholes come swooping we will shove things up them with great force and no lube.

So, my dear. You were saying something about the Saga of the Stripper Pole?

I think there's a striking difference between people who blog nothing but sexual situations and encounters, and people who delve into the deeper questions of how blogging and sex connect, offer personal anecdotes, etc...

I'm not saying that blogging one's sex life and little else other than that is bad, it's certainly vulnerable, but there's a craving to know the person behind that blogging. Perhaps it's the ultimate voyeurism - you can read not only the intimate acts, by the intimate feelings, from someone who does not know you're reading, does not know who you are, or what you're thinking. It's a safe pseudo-intimacy that you can't get from a movie or a book. This person is real (at least you can tell yourself that and stand a chance of being right) and the experiences they blog about really happened.
