I was going through this last year with my grandmother and have another close friend who's father is now in hospice care. The hospice folks are saints. I have no idea where they get the emotional fortitude to do their jobs everyday with such grace and kindness. The hospice folks are very knowledgeable about the process and can give you tons of support, advice, and guidance, if you need/want it. The hospice workers that I've dealt with are very straightforward and honest, yet very caring, sensitive, and understanding. The combo is such a relief when you feel like everyone is being "nice" and feeding you BS. I can't stress enough what a wonderful thing hospice is. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
