“What does the M stand for?”
I can’t tell you how many times over the past ten years I’ve gotten the above question about my tattoo. At a former workplace, there was even a rumor that I had a “Mozilla tattoo.”
Anyway – today, the sun is in Scorpio.
I don’t really believe in astrology, but I think it’s fun and interesting. I probably would be a lot less into it if so many of the Scorpio attributes didn’t fit me. (The jealousy aspect is completely non-applicable, though. It used to be, back when I was younger; but at some point I guess I grew up and now I’m just not a jealous person at all.)
I’m pleased to say that I recognised it as an astrological symbol but – not being interested in that stuff, didn’t know which one.
And I totally understand about “I probably would be a lot less into it if so many of the Scorpio attributes didn’t fit me.” I’m a Cancerian (the symbol looks like a 69 on its side, which the puerile adolescent side of me thinks is funny), and I hate that I fit the Cancer description so well, because I really think astrology ought to be complete nonsense.
I like all divination systems, because at some level they all form languages for talking about human experience and I find them fascinating on that level.
What I really find fascinating about astrology is the role it’s played in so many different societies down through the ages.
hahaha! I have kokopellis tattooed around my ankle and regularly get asked if they are cockroaches. yikes!
