Each dancer only gets a few seconds to gather her clothes and get offstage before the next featured entertainer comes on, and having to scramble around the stage to pick up stray ones (not easy on the slippery floor, it seems) is nothing less than inconvenient and puts the girl in a position that's insulting: having to crawl around on her hands and knees and scoop up the money you so graciously threw at her."

"I am not hardened to the industry and the things that can happen in it, although I think I have a better attitude than that of the angry stripper I used to be. It still hurt last week to be up on stage and hear hostile comments from patrons at the rack; I want to say fuck them and walk off but the manager is watching so I have to take my clothes off for those kids who are not even tipping enough to soften the indignity.
