Inspired by J, here are my Twitter favorites. I don’t use the “favorite” function very often, so currently all my favorites fit on one page - and hence, one screenshot!

…a.k.a., the One True Wrap-up Post To Rule Them All.
Live-blogging
A sampling of wrap-up posts
Many more Sex 2.0-related blog posts are saved in my del.icio.us, and I’ll be updating with more as I find them.
I’ll also be checking Technorati periodically. If you write something Sex 2.0-related, please remember to tag it “sex20″ so it’ll get picked up by Technorati!

All tweets from people who used the #sex20 hashtag are at http://twemes.com/sex20.
I took screenshots of some of my favorite tweets. (I certainly missed some, because there were over 1,000 tweets, y’all.)
More screenshots here.

Of course, there is a Sex 2.0 Flickr group. Currently it’s invite-only, to keep away prying/creepy eyes. If you want to join so you can add photos, there’s a “request invitation” link (or something like that, I don’t know what the exact text is) that you can click, and I’ll add you.

Thanks to everyone who came to Sex 2.0 and made it a truly amazing event!! The only complaints I’ve heard about it were that there were too many awesome sessions going on at once so it was hard to decide where to go, so I consider that a success!
There’s already energy for doing it again next year… how about in Washginton, DC this time? That seems to be the growing consensus. (Maeve, I would totally be down with Burlington, VT too, if you can find a venue!)
Thanks again, y’all. It was a wonderful weekend.
Btw, thanks to everyone who has been sending emails asking if we’re okay. The tornado missed Decatur completely; I feel very fortunate right now. I’ve been following people’s coverage via Twitter, and watching footage on WSB. Dave was at the Flatiron in East Atlanta when the tornado came through. It ripped a hole in the roof of the Georgia Dome… there’s damage to some hotels, CNN Center, other downtown buildings… so far, no news of fatalities though.
Why the hell has no one commented here in several days? Oh, maybe because I haven’t been posting much? Well, just for that, I’m putting this up as a blog post instead of a Twitter tweet. (And just so you know, that “blogger outreach” post took me hours to write! Hours, I tell you!)
My old blog is still in the Technorati top 10k and has an “authority” ranking of 506 (not that I know what that actually means). Damn, I wish I could somehow “redirect” my Technorati creds to beingamberrhea.com. :P
In other Technorati news, I saw on Twitter today a few people saying you can claim your Twitter on Techorati? But I don’t see how/where to do it.
What the hell? Why did my July 8th Twitter updates get posted about 30 times??
I deleted all the excess, but good god, was that disconcerting. Sorry about that, y’all. If it happens again I’m just going to have to disable Twitter Tools.
Rusty’s gallbladder surgery is tomorrow morning, so please keep him in your thoughts, prayers, or whatever’s your thing. We’ll be at the hospital at 7:00 a.m. and the surgery should be underway by 9:00. He has not yet decided if he’ll take his cell phone with him to the hospital for Twittering purposes. I know the surgery will go smoothly, but I’ll be happy when it’s over and he’s back home recuperating on the couch.
Not much else to say… that’s the main thing that’s going on. I bought a delicious-looking salad from Publix for dinner, but ended up eating cake instead. Oh! I should also mention, we now tentatively have a venue secured for Sex 2.0! I also put up a preliminary wiki. More on all that in a few days, though.
In the comments a few posts down, valeko asked whytf he should care about Twitter. I started writing a comment in reply, but it got long, so I figured I’d just make a separate post.
I was anti-Twitter until I learned more about it and, then, started using it. One area where I see it being really useful is in telling your friends where you are, so they can come meet you if they want. Like when Rusty and I go out, one of us will Twitter (for example), “At Manuel’s.” You can also use it to tell people if you’re running late! Of course, this assumes that everyone uses the SMS feature; personally I just use it on the computer (for now, anyway).
Twitter proved very useful at large events such as SXSW, SoCon07, PodCamp Atlanta, and PodCamp NYC, where there were a lot of people scattered in various places. For example, at PodCamp NYC, lost-and-found items were Twittered. I lost a card reader, and a guy sent out a tweet saying, “If you find an SD card reader bring it to the help desk.” (No one ever found it, but still, cool usage. Someone else did retrieve their lost iRiver that way, though.)
Another use… up to the minute news updates. CNN uses it for that. But on a non-MSM level - just think of the tweets that were going out during the VA Tech crisis, for example. Look up NewMediaJim’s tweets from last week… it’s fascinating stuff.
Also, Twitter just appeals to my voyeuristic side - and I think most people have that streak in them, to an extent. Especially when it’s friends or people you at least know (or know of) IRL. It’s just interesting, to me, to see what they’re doing! Very much like blogging, in that regard.
Most recently, Rusty and I had fun asking and answering questions via Twitter while we recorded a podcast. We plan to make this a regular feature on our show.
What about the rest of you, blog readers? Why do you like (or dislike) Twitter?
Ugh. Now I’m remembering why I hated Javascript so much in the first place. Can’t I just write CSS and server-side code all day instead?
In personal tech news, I ordered a new phone. It’s an LG CU500. It has a rotating camera lens, which will be good for my daily self portraits. I’m really looking forward to having a camera phone. Also, I might even Twitter from it! *gasp* Craziness, I know. I actually am becoming quite fond of Twitter. Guess I’d better check to make sure I have enough text message capacity on my phone plan… never thought I’d be one of the people concerned with that kind of thing!
Anyway, it’ll be nice but also weird to have a “new” gadget (I used quotation marks because I ordered a refurbished one). Every piece of hardware I own is at least 3 years old.
I’ve also added a few Republicans to my Twitter friends. What am I doing with my life. It’s like I don’t even know me anymore.
Moving along. I was planning to write another post about the whole “online bullying” thing and how it relates to IRL bullying/abuse/disenfranchisement, but what with all the links, quotes, and such I’ve posted over the past few days, and Take Back the Blog! coming up, I think I’ll save it for the 28th instead.
Okay, back to work and Javascript hell. (No hyperbole here, not at all!)
